
Athol Moult (b. 1967) is a South African artist who works in various media. His art finds expression in, sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, printmaking and ceramics.
Athol is also an award-winning, commercial, editorial and fine art photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. His photographic subject matter includes travel, environmental portraiture, creating inspiring and unexpected photographs of people, wildlife and landscapes.
He is a full-time artist, photographer and graphic designer. He has exhibited in London, Johannesburg and Cape Town. His work is represented in corporate and private art collections in South Africa and abroad.
He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with honours, from the University of Pretoria in 1992. After studying four years of drawing, print making, sculpture, photography, painting and information design.
Athol’s art shows distinctive graphic influences and does not conform to a single style or medium. As an artist who describes his work as a story telling process, where the journey becomes his subject and the environment his studio, Athol’s focus is on capturing and creating visual dialogues.
Art commissions from private individuals or public organisations are an exciting part of his work as a sculptor and artist and he has bronze sculptures and other artworks in private collections and public spaces around the world.
